J. Horace McFarland - Anti Damming:

Picture

J. Horace McFarland was the President of the American Civic Association. He wrote and spoke in the defense of the National park and felt that if national parks were to be used for other purposes, there there is no guarantee that all parks with natural beauty will be destroyed. He spoke about the need to maintain the national parks as more and more people now settled in cities need to come to the parks as a refuge.
